School Year is on Premium. It holds the term dates, the pickup rota, and the paperwork that arrives with a deadline attached.
Terms and breaks
Put in the start and end of each term. Anything outside them is a break, and Buhata treats a break as a break: no pickup reminders, no homework nudges, nothing asking about a school that's closed.
Who collects them
Set it per weekday, because most households don't have one answer. Monday might be one parent and Thursday another.
An early release beats the weekly rhythm for that day only. If Wednesday is normally you at half past three and this Wednesday finishes at noon, that's what you're told, and next Wednesday goes back to normal without you resetting anything.
Permission slips
Tick that one needs signing and a task appears the night before it's due, not the morning of. Ticking it twice doesn't make two tasks.
More than one school
Children at different schools each get their own terms and their own pickup rota. Nothing is shared between them except the calendar they both land on.
What travels and what doesn't
A pickup rota can be shared as a link, for a grandparent or a sitter. Teacher names, homework and results never travel on that link. Somebody collecting a child needs the time and the place, and nothing else.
