Terms and Conditions
Last updated: September 5, 2026
These terms keep things fair for everyone using Buhata.
Who you are agreeing with
Buhata is operated by Buhata LLC, a Florida limited liability company (Florida document number L26000404649), of 1576 Iroquois Ct, Pensacola, FL 32534, United States. That is our trading address for consumers everywhere, including the European Union and the United Kingdom. Written questions go to [email protected].
The service
Buhata is a personal and household organizer: money, tasks, calendar, notes and the other tools listed on the pricing page. It is provided by Buhata LLC, a Florida limited liability company, document number L26000404649.
Buhata is an organizer, not an adviser, and the section below sets out who may hold an account.
Using Buhata for an organization
If you use a Space for a business, a club or any other organization rather than for yourself, you are the controller of what your members write in it and Buhata processes it for you. The Data Processing Addendum sets out that relationship and forms part of these Terms. Nothing needs signing. The companies we use to do it are listed at Sub-processors, and we give notice before adding a new one. What the admin of a Team can and cannot obtain about what members write, and how, is set out at Teams and your data.
Your age
You must be 18 or older to hold an account. Buhata is an adult service, so we do not direct it at anyone under 18, we do not design it for them, and we do not advertise it to them anywhere.
When you create an account you confirm that you are 18 or older. We record which version of these Terms you accepted and the date you accepted it. We do not ask for your date of birth and we do not store your age.
If we learn that an account is held by someone under 18 we close it and delete its contents. You can tell us at [email protected] and we act on it. Because the same rule applies inside a shared Space, a Space admin who learns that one of their members is under 18 should report that member so we can act.
Buhata is an organizer, not an adviser. Nothing in it is financial, legal, tax or medical advice. The routine tools, weight, water, workouts and habits, are a place to write down what you already know and to be reminded of it. They do not diagnose anything, they are not a medical device, and they must not be relied on in an emergency. Always speak to a qualified professional about your health and your money.
Refunds
Where you bought your plan decides who refunds it. Purchases made through Google Play are refunded by Google under Play's own policy, and purchases made through the App Store are refunded by Apple under Apple's. Purchases made directly through our payment provider are refunded by us: write to [email protected] within thirty days of a charge and we will refund it in full, and after that we will refund any unused whole months of an annual plan. Cancelling stops future charges and leaves your access running until the period you already paid for ends.
Buhata provides personal organization tools: budgeting, tasks, household features, health tracking, and related services. The Free plan is free; paid plans unlock additional features and renew until canceled through your app store or account.
Your content
What you put into Buhata is yours. You give us only the permission needed to store, sync, and display it to you and the household members you approve.
Copyright and the DMCA
Buhata LLC respects the intellectual property rights of others. Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement on the Site when they are submitted to our Copyright Agent as described below. On receiving a notice alleging copyright infringement, we will take whatever action we deem appropriate in our sole discretion, including removing the allegedly infringing material and terminating access for repeat infringers of copyright-protected content.
If you believe your intellectual property rights have been violated by us, or by a third party who has uploaded material to our site, please send the following to the designated Copyright Agent below:
- A description of the copyrighted work or other intellectual property you claim has been infringed.
- The address or page on the Site where the material you claim is infringing appears.
- An address, telephone number and email address where we can reach you, and, if different, an email address where the alleged infringing party can reach you.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner or other intellectual property rights owner, by its agent, or by law.
- A statement by you, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright or intellectual property owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your electronic or physical signature.
We may request further information before removing any allegedly infringing material. If we do remove it, we will promptly notify the person who posted it that we removed or disabled access to the material. We may also give that person your email address so they can respond to your allegations.
Pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512(c), the designated Copyright Agent for Buhata LLC is:
Jonathan Bailey
CopyByte
3157 Gentilly Blvd, Suite #2254
New Orleans, LA 70122
Phone: 1-504-356-4555
Email: buhata-dmca@copybyte.com
If your material was removed: counter-notification
If material you posted was removed or disabled in response to a copyright notice and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the Copyright Agent above. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), it must contain all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled, and the page or address where it appeared before it was removed.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district that covers your address, or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which Buhata LLC may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice or an agent of that person.
What happens next. We forward your counter-notification to the person who sent the original notice. If they do not tell us within ten business days that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain you, we will restore the material between ten and fourteen business days after receiving your counter-notification. If they do file, the material stays down until the court decides.
Sending a counter-notification is a legal act. If you knowingly misrepresent that material was removed by mistake, you may be liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). If you are not sure, ask a lawyer before sending one.
Repeat infringers, in numbers
We keep a record of every copyright notice actioned against an account. A notice counts as a strike when the material has come down and no valid counter-notification has reversed it. A takedown that a counter-notification reversed does not count, because by the statute’s own logic it should not have happened.
Three strikes within twelve months is our threshold for termination as a repeat infringer. We may terminate sooner in a clear case, and we may decline to terminate where the circumstances warrant it; the number is a floor for what we will tolerate, not a promise of three free ones. Termination closes the account and its contents, and we may refuse to provide the Service to that person again.
Acceptable use
Don’t attempt to break, overload, or reverse the service, resell access, or use it for anything unlawful. Accounts that abuse the service or its voice features beyond fair limits may be rate-limited or closed.
Fair use limits apply to the features that call our AI, which are the spoken commands and reading a photograph of a list or a calendar. Everyday use is never affected; the limits exist so one account cannot spend the shared allowance for everybody, and if you reach one the app says so and it resets on its own.
Permitted use. Buhata is licensed to you for your own personal and household use, and for the affairs of a business you own or operate yourself. You may not use the Service, or any account, Space or connected financial institution within it, to keep records on behalf of third parties, including bookkeeping, accounting, advisory or agency services provided to clients. You may not resell, sublicense, or make the Service available to others as part of a service you provide.
Fair use. The Service depends on finite resources shared among all subscribers, and some features carry a cost to us for every connection, request or item you create. You agree not to use the Service excessively or unreasonably. The absence of a stated numerical limit on any feature does not imply an unlimited allowance, whether or not the word “unlimited” is used. Excessive use may be identified by significant variation from the typical use of comparable accounts. Where we consider your use to be excessive, we will contact you and work with you to resolve it, and we may recommend or require a plan more suitable to your use. We will not restrict or suspend an account for excessive use without first contacting you, except where required by law or necessary to protect the Service or other subscribers.
Files you upload, and what we check them for
Every file you upload is checked before it is stored or shown to anyone, including to you. A file nobody has checked is never served. Two separate checks run, and they look for different things.
Child sexual abuse material. Pictures and documents are compared against databases of known child sexual abuse material, held by organizations that specialize in this rather than by us. The check compares mathematical fingerprints; it is not a person looking at your files, and no human at Buhata browses your uploads. What is sent and to whom is set out in the Privacy Policy, and what we prohibit and how we act is set out in our Child Safety Standards.
Malware. Files are scanned for viruses, droppers and other malicious content. This protects the people you share with as much as it protects you, because an attachment from someone you know is the one that gets opened.
What happens on a match. A file that matches is blocked and is not delivered. Depending on what it matched, we may quarantine it, remove it, suspend or terminate the account, and where the law requires it, report it and preserve it for the authorities. For child sexual abuse material, termination is immediate and permanent, we do not warn the account first, and we report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as United States law requires.
If a scan cannot run. Where a check is configured and we cannot complete it, the file is held rather than delivered. We would rather delay a file than pass one nobody has checked.
Repeat infringers and repeat offenders. We terminate the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright, as described under Copyright and the DMCA above, and of people who repeatedly breach this section. Termination means the account and its contents are closed, and we may refuse to provide the Service to that person again.
None of this makes us the author or reviewer of what you upload. We check for the specific things named here and nothing else, and we do not read, index or analyze your files for any other purpose.
Connecting a bank
Buhata Money lets you connect a bank account so that transactions appear alongside everything else you track. It is optional, it costs extra, and nothing in the rest of Buhata depends on it.
Who does the connecting. The connection is made by Plaid Inc., which is the service almost every finance app uses for this. When you connect an account you are handing your bank credentials to Plaid, never to us: we never see them, never store them, and could not retrieve them. Plaid gives us a token that lets us read the account, and that token is stored encrypted and works nowhere outside Buhata.
What we can see, and what we cannot do. Read-only access to balances and transactions. Buhata cannot move money, cannot make a payment, and cannot change anything at your bank. There is no version of this feature that spends.
Plaid's own terms. Your use of the connection is also governed by Plaid's end user privacy policy, which describes what Plaid collects and how it handles it. By connecting an account you agree to it, and it is Plaid's document rather than ours. You can read it at plaid.com/legal.
Ending it. You can disconnect a bank at any time from inside Buhata, and doing so revokes the token. Deleting your Buhata account removes the connection and the token with everything else. Disconnecting here does not by itself end whatever Plaid holds; Plaid's own policy covers that, and they provide their own route at my.plaid.com.
Accuracy. What you see comes from your bank by way of Plaid. Feeds are sometimes delayed, sometimes incomplete, and occasionally wrong, so your bank's own record is the one that counts. Do not treat Buhata as your statement.
No professional advice
Buhata organizes your information. It is not financial, medical, or legal advice; decisions you make from it are your own.
Warranty and liability
Buhata is provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or lost data; keep backups. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the past twelve months.
Changes and contact
We may change these terms. If a change materially affects what you pay or what you get, we will give at least 30 days notice by email to the address on your account before it takes effect, and continuing to use Buhata after that date means you accept it. If you would rather not, cancel before the date and you will not be charged again.
Questions, complaints and anything else: info@buhata.com, or by post to Buhata LLC, 1576 Iroquois Ct, Pensacola, FL 32534, United States.
Automatic renewal
The 14-day free trial takes no payment details and cannot charge you anything, because nothing is collected to charge. A paid plan begins only when you start one yourself, and from then on it renews automatically until you cancel, monthly or annually according to the plan you chose. Cancelling keeps your access to the end of the period already paid for. Subscription and Cancellation sets out the timing and how to stop, and Refund Policy sets out the money.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes belong to the state or federal courts sitting in Escambia County, Florida, and you and we each agree to that venue.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using Buhata at any time; cancelling a plan and deleting an account are two different acts and are described on their own pages. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and where it is our choice rather than your breach, we refund what you have paid for time you will not get.
We may update these terms; continued use after an update means acceptance. Questions: info@buhata.com.
