Short-Form Video Editor (Reels & Brand)

Remote

We post every day and almost none of it moves. Reels, TikTok and Shorts are where a product like this gets found, and nobody here is cutting them. I need several finished edits a day, every day. The volume is the hard part of this job and it's worth knowing that before you apply.Show More

What you would own

  • Short-form video for Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Facebook, shipped daily
  • The whole pass from raw material to posted: cutting, captions, hooks, sound, covers
  • Screen recordings of the app that make a feature obvious inside four seconds
  • The graphic work around the video: end cards, social templates, blog headers, store listing art for Google Play and later the App Store
  • Keeping all of it looking like one company. We have a logo, a palette and 48 themes, and nobody owns how they fit together, so it drifts.

Two portfolios

Send me both, as separate links.

The first is work made with your own hands and your own eye. Hand-drawn, hand-lettered, shot on a real camera, cut frame by frame, composed by you. I want to see that the craft is in there.

The second is work where AI carried part of the load, and I want you to say which part. Which tool, what you asked it for, how many passes, what you threw out, what you fixed by hand afterward. Generating forty options and knowing which one is the good one is a skill, and I'd rather you tell me about it plainly than hide it.

Pure craft won't keep up with the volume I need here, and a folder of prompt outputs tells me nothing about whether you can see. Bring both, and know which one a job calls for. If your position is that AI has no place in this work, we'll be a bad fit, and I'd rather say so now than waste your afternoon.

What we need to see

  • A reel of short-form work you cut yourself, with the numbers attached if you have them
  • Evidence you can hold a daily pace. Tell me the most you've shipped in one week and what it cost you.
  • Design fundamentals: type, spacing, color. Video leans on these harder than people expect.
  • You can take a written brief and come back with something better than it asked for

Nice to have

  • You've made content for software, where the thing on screen is a UI
  • Real taste in audio, or actual sound design
  • You've shipped store listing art before
  • Filipino or Spanish

Customer Experience

Customer Support Specialist

Remote

Nobody at Buhata answers a phone to a customer. Support runs on email, deliberately, so somebody who writes in gets a considered answer instead of waiting on hold for a worse one. You'd be writing those answers.Show More

What you would own

  • Support email, in plain language. It's the only channel a customer ever touches.
  • Reproducing what somebody reports, so a bug report arrives with steps rather than a mood
  • The help center. Writing articles, updating the ones that drifted, deleting the ones that stopped being true. When the queue is quiet, this is the work.
  • Occasional calls that have nothing to do with customers: a vendor, a payment processor, an app store review team. It doesn't happen often and you'd never sit on a support line, but you do need to pick up a phone and be clear on it.
  • Telling us what keeps coming up, loudly enough that it gets fixed

Two portfolios

Two separate bodies of work, same as the other roles here.

The first is writing you did yourself. Replies you're proud of with the names taken out, help articles you authored, documentation you own. I read these closely, so pick carefully.

The second is AI inside a support workflow, described concretely. Drafting first replies, tagging and routing a queue, turning a month of tickets into something a product person can act on, pulling article drafts out of resolved threads. Tell me the tool, what it got wrong, and how you caught it before a customer did.

What we need to see

  • Written English that's clear and warm without reading like a script
  • Patience with somebody who's upset and isn't being precise
  • You've supported a software product before, in any capacity
  • Documentation you've written. The help center is a real part of this role.

Nice to have

  • Filipino or Spanish
  • You've run a knowledge base end to end
  • You're comfortable on a vendor call

Marketing

Social Media Manager

Remote

The accounts exist and almost nothing is on them. You'd decide what Buhata sounds like in public and then keep it going, every day, on every platform. A day where nothing went out anywhere is the number I'll look at before any other.Show More

What you would own

  • The calendar and the posting across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X. Every platform, every day.
  • Writing the posts, and briefing the video editor rather than making everything yourself
  • SEO across all of it: captions, titles, descriptions, tags and alt text, written so the work gets found by people who don't follow us yet
  • Comments and messages, and knowing when something is really a support ticket
  • Reporting what worked in numbers, and dropping what didn't

Two portfolios

The first is the manual record. Accounts you've grown with the numbers to back it, and moderation you did by hand: what you removed, what you left up, where you drew the line and why.

The second is what AI changed about your throughput. I'm interested in the multiple, so if you took your weekly output from twenty posts to two hundred, say so and say how you measured it. Scheduling, first drafts, cutting one video into nine, triaging comments, whatever it was. Include the time it produced something you'd never have posted, and how you caught that.

What we need to see

  • Accounts you've actually grown, with numbers
  • You write well enough that a post carries itself without a graphic propping it up
  • Working knowledge of SEO for both social search and web search
  • Judgement about what a small honest company should and shouldn't say

Nice to have

  • You've launched an app account rather than inherited a mature one
  • You can cut your own short-form video when the editor is buried
  • Filipino or Spanish

How applying works

1

Press Apply for this role on the job you want. The form opens already knowing which role you mean.

2

Sign in with your email. There's no separate account to make.

3

Answer three short questions, attach your CV as PDF or Word, and add both portfolio links.

Links matter more than the CV on every role here. Send the hand-made work and the AI-assisted work as separate links so I can tell which is which.

You can check your application status from the same button. We keep applications for twelve months and then delete them automatically, and the CV is deleted with them. Ask and we'll delete yours sooner.

What every role here has in common

Everything here is a remote contract role. We're pre-launch and growing slowly on purpose, so these are real jobs with real scope and a small company behind them. Hours are yours apart from a few agreed overlap hours.

I want two bodies of work from you, whichever role you go for: things you made by hand, and things you made with AI helping. Each role above spells out what that means in its own terms.
