Written for the moment something isn't working rather than for a brochure. Every article says what to press, in what order, and what you should see afterwards.

The things most people need in their first week, and the three newest parts of the app.

Linked Banks: connecting a bank on Premium, and what it can and cannot do

SPACES · 2026-09-08

Boards, threads and the room in a shared Space

How a Household or a Team talks to itself: boards for things with a subject, a room for everything else, and what a pin actually does.

HOUSEHOLD · 2026-09-08

Duty Rotation: whose turn it is, without anybody keeping score

A rota that works out the next turn for you, and what a skip does that a swap doesn't.

DEVICES · 2026-09-08

Restore Points: getting something back after a bad delete

Dated copies of your account, how many each plan keeps, and what a restore replaces.

MONEY · 2026-09-08

The Vault: the house, the car, the papers

Where the things you own go when they are not a bank balance, and why they are kept apart from Accounts.

PRODUCT · 2026-08-11

Where a voice command goes

Who turns your voice into words, what reaches us as a shape, and the cases that reach a language model.

ACCOUNT · 2026-08-10

Trials, billing and leaving

What the trial does, where your receipt lives, how to cancel, and what happens to everything you wrote.

GIFTS · 2026-08-07

Gifts and Occasions: ideas caught all year

Where the idea you had in March goes, so it's still there in December.

PETS · 2026-08-07

Pets: feeding, treatments and the next shots

The animal's own page, and why the vaccination warning looks like the Renewals one.

RENEWALS · 2026-08-07

Renewals: registrations, policies and documents before they lapse

One list for everything that quietly expires, with warnings early enough to do something about it.

TRIP MODE · 2026-08-07

Trip Mode: the itinerary, the packing, and a link for everyone coming

A trip has dates, and everything in Buhata that touches those dates behaves differently while it's on.

SHARING · 2026-08-06

Buhata Share: one link, no sign up

How Buhata Share hands somebody a chore, a grocery list or a week, with nothing for them to install and nothing to join.

HOUSEHOLD · 2026-08-06

The Handoff Card for a sitter

One read-only page telling a babysitter or a grandparent what they need for the evening, and nothing else.

TIMER · 2026-08-06

The Timer: stopwatch, countdown and rounds

Three timers in one, and why a Buhata timer doesn't lose time when your phone goes to sleep.

GETTING STARTED · 2026-08-02

Your first week with Buhata

Open the app, put in one real thing, and watch it appear on the calendar. Twenty minutes, no setup wizard.

DEVICES · 2026-08-02

Installing Buhata on phone, computer and browser

Buhata runs in a browser, on a phone and on a desktop, off one account. What each one gives you, and how they stay in step.

MONEY · 2026-08-02

Money, bills and things that repeat

Recording what you spend, setting up a bill that repeats, and changing one month without changing the rest.

BASICS · 2026-08-02

Spaces, sharing, and what stays private

There is one kind of shared place in Buhata and it is called a Space. What a Space holds, how many you get, what sharing one does not share, and who sees what.

DEVICES · 2026-08-02

Sync, offline, and moving to a new phone

Why the app works with no signal, what happens when two devices disagree, and how to tell it has caught up.

VOICE · 2026-08-02

Voice and text commands

What Buhata understands, how to say several things at once, and how to fix it when it hears you wrong.

Common questions

It isn't syncing. What do I check first?

The dot at the bottom of the sidebar says what sync is doing. If it reads synced with a time beside it, sync isn't your problem. If it never leaves waiting, sign out and back in on the device that's behind. The account is the source of truth, and the device takes its copy from there.

Voice heard the wrong thing. Where did it go?

Nowhere. Nothing is written until you confirm it. The confirm screen lists every action first, each line can be edited or dropped, and you can add a line it missed entirely.

Can my family see my Private Space?

No. Private is shared with nobody, including whoever administers the household. Sharing is decided per Space and you choose which.

I deleted something by accident.

Tap a repeating money entry, such as a bill, on one of its days. It asks which you meant: this occurrence, this and future, or the entire series.

For anything else there are Restore Points, in Settings under Sync and backup. Free keeps the newest 3 daily copies. Plus keeps up to one an hour for 24 hours, and the newest 7 daily copies. Premium keeps up to one every 30 minutes for 24 hours, and the newest 30 daily copies. A restore replaces what's on your account, on every device, and leaves shared Spaces alone. The device you restore on keeps what it held, and offers to put it back if you picked the wrong one.

If you want a copy that's yours to keep, Settings has Email me my data.

How do I get a receipt?

Where you bought the plan decides where the receipt lives. Bought through Google Play or the App Store, the receipt is in that store’s account. Bought directly, the receipt is emailed by our payment provider and the same page lists every charge.

Do you read what I write?

No. Your entries are yours. What leaves your device is what sync needs to carry. The privacy page says exactly what that is.

Still stuck? Write to [email protected], or send a request from the support form in the help bubble. Say what you pressed and what happened instead. That one sentence saves a day of back and forth.
