Some of the people who need to see something in Buhata are never going to install it. A grandparent collecting a child on Wednesday, a neighbour feeding the cat, a kid without a phone of their own. Buhata Share exists for exactly them: it turns one thing into a private web page and gives you a link.
What you can share
A chore, the grocery list, a set of tasks, the pickup week from School Year, a trip itinerary, and the Handoff Card. Money is never shareable, in any plan, and neither is health.
How to make one
Look for the share icon in the header of the thing you want to share, or the Share button on the row itself. Give it a title, choose how many days it should live, and press Create the link. You get a QR code as well as the link, because half the time the person is standing next to you.
One link per thing
Each thing keeps one live link. Pressing Create again hands you the same link rather than breeding a second one, so a list that has been shared twice does not exist in two versions with two sets of ticks. If you want a genuinely new link, cancel the old one first, which closes the page for anyone still holding it.
What the person on the other end can do
Read it, and tick things off. On a grocery list they can cross items as they buy them and you see it. On a chore they can say it is done, which arrives as a request you approve rather than as a fact. Nobody holding a link can delete anything, change your data, or see anything you did not put on that page. First names only, never a full name.
Adding to a link after you sent it
A grocery list changes after you have shared it, so the link can learn. Open the Shared links manager from the share icon at the top of Family, find the list, and press Update. Items you added appear on the page, and anything already crossed off stays crossed off.
How they end
Every link has a lifespan you chose, and when it runs out the code is deleted from our side for good. You can also end one early: cancel sharing on the card, or revoke it from the Shared links manager, and the page closes immediately for everyone.
What is never on a link
Money and health, ever. A pet's microchip number. A teacher's name. Anybody's packing list. Homework and results. Those are all refused by the app itself rather than by us remembering not to include them.
