Somebody's watching your house tonight. They need the evening, not your life. The Handoff Card is one page you build in about twenty seconds and hand over as a link. It comes with Premium.
Nothing is on it until you tick it
The card starts completely empty. Every section is a tick: who's home, meals today, appointments today, reminders due, meds and their times, allergy notes, feeding the pets, pinned household notes. Nothing lands on the card because it seemed useful. It lands because you chose it.
The preview is the card
What you see while building it is what they'll see. The preview gets built by the same code that builds the link, so the two can't quietly differ.
Doses have their own tick
Ticking meds shows what somebody takes and when. It doesn't show the dose. If the sitter needs to give a dose, tick the doses line as well, deliberately. That separation exists because the times are usually enough and the amounts usually aren't their business.
It expires tonight
By default the card dies at midnight, which is when the evening ends. You can pick twenty-four hours instead, and that's the ceiling. A Handoff Card can't outlive a day. You can also close it early from the card itself.
It's read-only
There are no buttons on the page and nothing on it can be changed, ticked or sent back. It says plainly at the bottom that anyone holding the link can read it, so you know what you handed over.
What it will never include
Money, health records beyond the meds you ticked, full names, a pet's microchip number, or anything you didn't tick. Allergy notes come from your Household Notes, so writing an allergy down once means the sitter can be told without you retyping it under pressure.
