Everything here is the practical version. The Subscription and Cancellation page and the Refund Policy carry the full terms, and this article doesn't contradict them anywhere.
The trial
Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and it takes no payment details at all. No card, no wallet, nothing to enter and nothing to cancel afterward.
That's possible because the trial runs on our own servers before any payment company is involved. Since nothing was collected, nothing charges itself at the end. The plan stops and your account drops to Free.
The fourteen days belong to your account rather than to a plan. Trying Plus uses the same trial Premium would have used, and the other way round. You can switch tiers while it's running, and once it's been used there isn't a second one waiting on another plan or in another household.
What it costs after that
Plus is $5.99 a month or $49.99 for the year, and covers two accounts: you and one more adult.
Premium is $14.99 a month or $125.00 for the year, and covers four accounts: you and three more adults.
Free costs nothing, carries no advertising, and doesn't expire. Prices are in US dollars and exclude whatever tax applies where you live. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
Where your receipt is
Wherever you paid is where the receipt lives. Bought through Google Play or the App Store, it's in that store's account. Bought directly from us, it's emailed to you.
Cancelling
Cancel in the same place you started, because that's where the billing sits.
- Bought inside Buhata: open Settings, then your plan, and cancel there
- Bought through Google Play: cancel in the Play Store under Subscriptions
- Bought through the App Store: cancel in your Apple account settings under Subscriptions
We can't cancel a Play or App Store subscription for you. The store holds the billing, so the button has to be pressed there.
Cancelling stops future charges and leaves the plan running until the end of the period you already paid for. It doesn't switch off the moment you press it, and it doesn't delete anything.
What happens to what you wrote
Nothing gets deleted. Your account drops to the free plan, everything you entered stays exactly where it is, and the features above Free stop being available until you start a plan again. Come back a year later and it's all still there.
If you want the account and the data gone as well, that's a separate thing and there's an Account Deletion page for it.
Refunds, briefly
Within 30 days of a charge, if you bought directly from us, write to [email protected] from the email on the account and we'll refund it in full. Card refunds are issued by our payment provider and usually land in five to ten business days, which is their timing rather than ours.
Bought through Google Play or the App Store, the refund is theirs to issue under their own policy. If they decline and you think the fault was ours, tell us and we'll look at it.
The Refund Policy page covers the rest, including what happens after 30 days on an annual plan.
